Exchange Rates and the balance of Payments

An exchange rate is the value of one currency for the purpose of conversion to another. The balance of payments is the difference in total value between payments into and out of a country over a period. The IB Economic course examines each of these concepts individually and then analyses the relationship between exchange rates and the balance of payments.
